This manual and workbook is concerned with Lot Quality Assurance Sampling (LQAS), a tool that supports active participation of local health workers in the planning and monitoring of their community health programmes. LQAS helps health workers to steer and guide programmes at a local level which centralised management systems are frequently unable to do. It empowers local programme supervisors and managers to identify priority issues and to accurately focus programs. There is also an LQAS Training Guide available separately. Also available in French and Spanish.
