Focused Assessment with Sonography for HIV/TB (FASH) has been developed in recent years as a diagnostic tool for extra-pulmonary and disseminated forms of tuberculosis. It is particularly helpful in resource-poor settings, where other imaging modalities are scarce. In this text, which was developed from FASH ultrasound courses in many geographic settings, the basic technical aspects of ultrasound are introduced, typical ultrasound findings described and the diagnostic reasoning in patients co-infected with HIV explained. With over 125 pictures the book shows ultrasound findings, which are essential in the diagnosis of extra-pulmonary TB and other HIV related conditions. You can find a review of the manual here.
