This book is for general duty doctors who are not specialist anaesthetists, medical students, medical assistants, and anyone who has to give an anaesthetic unexpectedly and whose previous experience is limited. Ketamine, epidural and sub-arachnoid anaesthesia are described in detail, as well as many methods of local and regional anaesthesia, intubation and the use of relaxants. There is also a chapter on primary intensive care.
